I don't understand this phenomenom (sp?). You simply cannot beat a real world university degree, or college diploma. Follow it up if you like with some certs, but I personally would not bother attending an institute such as is described in this article. This seems to be an ever increasing fad, which is much in the same vein as other colleges that will make you an IT Pro in 9 short months. Problem is they all lack credibility. There are no shortcuts to a proper education, and the certification industry has simply become a self-serving beast. You want a real education then go to a real university or college. Lastly, I am not singling out SANS here by this mini-tirade.
