Is this really necessary? I mean come on he is doing what more of us can say we have done at one time or another. He was curious he managed to get into the systems and instead of abusing this fact... He tells them in a detailed report on how he found it and whats wrong. Why in the world should he be punished for trying to make his school more secure.

I think more people should take kindly to this information and instead of trying to press charges take this information and use it to secure things. I know more colleges than anywhere else are vulnerable to some form of hacking attack.

What about Rsnake whom manipulated the voting program on his local newspaper site to try and make his girlfriends dog win the cutest dog contest. Shouldn't he now be prosecuted as well? He told all of black hat 2008 about it after he did it as a presentation...Get Rich or Die Trying (BlackHat USA 2008)...

This really grinds my gears.
