The idea that the NSA is going to glean any significant information from listening to Americans common communications traffic is just dumb and naive. There is an old saying, don't underestimate thine enemies. Terorrist are not stupid.
If the NSA's ability to spy on terrorists is so feeble it must listen to every American next door then perhaps we need a new agency. Who's to say where this stuff stops? The FBI has already arrested an innocent man in Portland, OR becuase they claimed his prints were on the bombs that exploded in Spain, they held him without seeing an attorney and basically wisked him away. He was completely innocent after all, even Spain said from the start that the prints were not his and he was innocent.
A U.S. congressman once said; "When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in an American flag"
If the NSA is so utterly poor at getting useful information it must turn to harassing it's own citizens, God help us!
