What planet do you live on? Muslims are taking over the country? The illegal NSA wiretaps are somehow preventing this fantasy in your head?

I'd rather protect the rights of individuals that share an ideology I don't happen to agree with, than the very real actions of government organization that knowingly violates the law and operates with a blatent disregard for individual's rights.
