So how many times in the last 5 years has Microsoft now bought or launched a security project only to abandon it later? I remember using Giant, then they bought that and renamed it Windows Defender. Then they drop support for Win2K from it. Then they come out with Live OneCare. Now both of these are to be replaced with Security Essentials. I can keep up with it because it's a hobby of mine. How are non-computer people with a life supposed to keep up with this? Or a better question might be, with all of the good free security products out there already, why would they want to?
