| Job Description: |
The Walgreen IT Security team is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of computer systems, data, and network resources. The security team is responsible for working with both internal and external development teams in an effort to validate that both new and existing architectures and applications are developed and deployed in a secure manner. Walgreen IT Security is responsible for creating a secure computing environment through the implementation of security standards for systems and applications, as well as security policies and guidelines. Perform application, host, and network based vulnerability scans and penetration tests. Review and design security architectures and solutions for existing and new environments. Create and review hardening procedures for various Unix and Windows Operating systems utilized within the Walgreens network. Work with internal teams and business partners to create secure web, application, and host based security configurations. |
| Job Requirements: |
Three years professional hands on experience: -Unix/linux and/or Windows XP/Server 2003+ security or administration. Two years professional hands on experience: -Intrusion Detection Systems, forensics, firewalls, and routers including policy/ACL creation/review and log review preferred. - Understands application level security architectures and concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, session handling, web services,etc. -Performing network scanning and penetration testing including policy creation and analysis of results. -Performing risk assessments of applications, architectures, networks (including wireless), and business impact analysis. -TCP/IP and networking. Professional, team-oriented, self-motivated individual. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple assignments. Ability to trouble shoot and resolve problems. Position requires on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays. |
