Jr. Information Security Engineer (521) Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required. This candidate will join a team of information security professionals in providing comprehensive support to the customer’s certification and accreditation process. This individual will be exposed to emerging technology, enterprise-level vulnerability assessment approaches and information security policy development/implementation on an agency-wide scale. |
| Job Requirements: |
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year in the information security field with a B.A. or B.S. degree in related field and 1 year of IA experience. B.A. or B.S. degree may be substituted with 4 additional years of professional IA services experience. Candidate will be knowledgeable on the general concepts of information security practices and government regulations applicable to FISMA. Must possess experience with NIST. Additionally, this candidate must: • Be able to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to co-workers and senior leadership. • Be able to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously; coordinating efforts and informing supervisors of progress to ensure scheduled goals are met. • Be able to quickly understand new concepts and technology for the purpose of using that knowledge to effectively evaluate information systems’ security posture. **There will be regular meetings with the customer in DC. |
