Title: Sr. Corp. Networking Engineer Location: Sunnyvale, CA Networking Responsibilities • Provide near and long term technology decisions for corporate network architecture and design of corporate offices, data centers and interconnectivity with Yahoo production network including LAN, WAN, VPN wireless and security/firewall devices. • High focus on documentation for architecture, design, recommendations, process and training. • Develop lab testing procedures as well as train engineering and operations on testing procedures. • Conduct product evaluation, testing, qualify/disqualify, implementation of next generation hardware and software. • Conduct Yahoo specific training to Engineering and Operations personnel. • Set corporate network security policy. • Support mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for network related activities. • Interface with customers and • Consult with customers and evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analyses, plan projects, and provide guidance to software architects and engineers during development, implementation and operational phases. • Support IPv6 migration/integration • Support IT engineers for Voice over IP and Tele-presence. Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications • Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Force 10, Netscreen and wireless platforms • Experience with firewall technologies and VPN’s as well as access control list and security policies • Experience with BGP, MPLS,ISIS, OSFP 802.1x, DHCP, DNS • DWDM experience • Knowledge of Linux/FreeFSD, Perl and Shell helpful • Good presentation skills • 5+ years experience |
