Actual Title: Channel Sales Manager Territory: Mid Central US Location: Chicago, Indianapolis or Ohio based Websense, Inc. Job Summary: Responsible for working with our VAR sales channels to raise the value of Websense and increase revenue growth. The Channel Sales Manager works closely with Websense Territory Managers, the Sales and Channel Marketing departments and VARs to build reseller relationships to increase sales and deliver sales and product training. Strong presentation and sales skills are essential. Essential Functions: - Develop relationships with key VARs within an assigned geography. Motivate VARs to achieve greater Websense sales, and coach them on the most effective use of marketing events and Websense sales tools. - Work effectively with Websenses Sales and Channel Development organization, leveraging strategic relationships with partner sales reps to secure commitments to driving new channel marketing programs. - 60-70% travel to key reseller partners. Present at sponsored conferences, seminars, trade shows, etc. in concert with Websense sales. Able to gain buy-in from sales VPs and key marketing contacts within our channel partners to grow Websense sales. - Assist the Channel Marketing department with signing -up and delivering tools for VARs to become new partners. Service partner requests from our partner (at) websense (dot) com [email concealed] portal. - Assist in the development of collateral and sales tools to aid in the success of the channel. Work with Websenses Channel Marketing, Marcom and Product Management teams to complete these tasks. - Assist in the development and execution of regular communication with the reseller network advising them of product, company and industry updates. - Work with our contact database to update & maintain contact information within the VARs in your assigned geography. |

Qualifications: 1. Education: College degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent preferred 2. Experience: Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years channel sales experience or 2 years of success selling security solutions for a VAR. 3. Excellent presentation skills required |
