| Job Description: |
Application Security Manager for global Fortune 100 company. Responsibilities: Work with the application security team to ensure the security of globally-developed applications and information through the design, implementation, and integration of appropriate application infrastructure measures. Develop application infrastructure security requirements and work in collaboration with global application teams to incorporate these requirements into the application development process. Manage a small team. Perform application security reviews/assessments for major internal applications Collaborate with the project team to understand the proposed security posture Execute vulnerability assessment tools and interpret results, including threat modeling Facilitate third-party application assessments as necessary Work with the internal application team to understand and mitigate any identified risks Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the global security requirements and communicate those requirements and good application security practices to relevant parties |
| Job Requirements: |
Good overall IT security background, with strong expertise in technology security best practices, trends, vulnerabilities, controls and related issues Strong technical understanding of: o appropriate security design, development, testing, and deployment practices o application and infrastructure security vulnerabilities o general security exposures and vulnerabilities o operational and infrastructural IT components Strong analytical and organizational skills in order to respond and address security activities in a logical and timely manner Understanding business justification for security and possessing the ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal and presentation skills to a broad range of audiences) and collaborate with others Must be capable of analyzing, understanding, and addressing complex security issues Able to successfully operate in a complex, matrixed, global, virtual, 24/7 organization where persuasive arguments and collaboration are the typical methods used to reach objectives Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Information security and industry certifications beneficial, including CISSP Prior team lead or management experience |
