Tivoli Security Engineer (TAM) Position Summary Technical design, testing, implementation, control, and maintenance of organizations Web systems and software Administration, engineering, monitoring and troubleshooting of Tivoli Access Manager (TAM) and other software in development, QA, PSE, and ADC/PDC/RDC Production environments. Responsible for disaster recovery and availability. Responsibilities · Responsible for Installation and Administration, Clustering, Fail-over, Configuration, Deployment and Troubleshooting of TAM and other web systems software: · Works with various customers (application teams) and develops relationships. Technically configures, manages, and implements complex project deliverables (including HTTP and Application Servers). · Researches, evaluates, and recommends technical solutions to correct or improve infrastructure project deliverables. · Works with technical staff to identify and troubleshoot complex technical delivery issues, and resolve or escalate these issues appropriately throughout the organization. Participates in infrastructure certification/load tests to identify potential bottlenecks in the application or infrastructure architecture. · Provides direction and guidance to other technicians. · Responds to emergency web application outages; identifies, documents, and corrects causes of outages. · Develops long-term business continuity and high-availability standards with Lead Engineers and management for the Web Technology Group. · Certifies a supportable web infrastructure through each project phase using defined standards. · Acts as a technical escalation point for less-senior staff. · Acts as a project leader, or a Sr. direct technical resource when required. |
| Job Requirements: |
Experience 3 4 years experience: · Supporting enterprise Internet/Intranet servers. · Working with Tivoli Access Manager for e-Business · Working with WebSphere software · Working with TCP/IP, DNS, Proxy servers, · Working on a Unix Platform, preferably AIX or Solaris · Broad knowledge of all aspects of the infrastructure delivery lifecycle, preferably web site or ISP support background. · Understanding of Internet network technologies, specifically Load Balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, and proxy servers. Experience in J2EE Application Deployment and Management. · Unix administration skills, including TCP/IP administration as well as shell scripting abilities. · Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with IT management and other groups throughout the organization. · Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and team skills. · Demonstrated knowledge of Tivoli Access Manager on a Unix platform, WebSphere is a plus. Education BA or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science / Information System Management. |
