GPS AEP/LADO IPT Senior Systems Engineer 08004532 Must currently hold an active Secret clearance or hig Description Manages the efforts of other systems engineers to ensure system performance requirements are met, that system designs are compatible and will meet applicable standards and requirements, and system testing and procedures are generated/reviewed/approved. The OCS Engineer will work with the AEP/LADO Lead in planning, organizing, and overseeing all OCS activities and possess familiarity with the Architecture Evolution Plan (AEP) software for the control segment. The Engineer will provide General System Engineering/Integration for GPS Control Segment development, with emphasis on, AEP/LADO ground software-related products, operational and AEP/LADO Simulation products and facilities, and spacecraft control functions. Perform OCS Risk analysis to identify potential technical and or schedule risks, develop risk mitigation plans, procedures, and support risk status reviews. Generate VV&A accreditation packages for various OCS Simulation assets. Responsible for overall VV&A plan generation and coordination of the plan with government, contractor, and AF team. Provides VV&A package status reports and reviews. The selected candidate will serve as a SE&I team lead working with the Air Force and the contractors to evaluate OCS requirements, requirements verification activities resolve security, engineering, and test issues, evaluate OCS SW engineering proposed design changes, and provide assessments of the functional capability and sustainability. The selected candidate will assist the AF OCS Program manager in accomplishing programmatic goals and analyze and evaluate segment and system data. Duties also include monitoring, reviewing and providing quality inputs to program Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Specifications for changes that could impact the deployment and interoperability of the OCS System. Must interface effectively with the Air Force, SE&I, contractors, and FFRDC (Aerospace/MITRE) support personnel in numerous government forums and associated supporting teams. Occasional travel to contractor facilities and Master and Alternate stations is required. Experience with NSA Crypto materials and Autonomy Keying is desired |
