Job Description As a Sr. IR/Forensic Consultant, you will be immersed in an exciting and challenging role providing IR and digital forensic services to our clients. You will be responsible for managing customer engagements from initial contact to project completion. You will spend most of your time solving complex security problems for our clients. This means you will be responsible for incident response program development, performing IR-readiness gap analysis, identifying and containing security breaches, and using your forensic skills to determine what happened, when, and how. You will also be required to share your expertise by providing training classes and publishing articles and white papers. Incident Response Duties Create and implement custom IR programs for government, business and education institutions. Provide IR plan reviews and make recommendations for improvement. Perform IR gap-analysis surveys and publish findings. Create IR plan test scenarios and execute simulated incidents. Provide immediate on-site professional consulting services to clients whose information systems have been compromised. Provide IR training to clients, industry groups, security seminars, etc. Digital Forensic Duties Conduct forensic investigations using accepted methodologies. Create forensic duplicates of electronic media including but not limited to, hard drives, mobile devices, and flash memory media. Conduct forensic analysis of network traffic and network device logs. Analyze forensic media to create a timeline of events relevant to the investigation. Maintain written notes and follow a strict chain-of-custody to preserve sensitive evidence. Produce forensic reports detailing findings. Provide legal counsel assistance in civil and criminal hearings. Provide subject matter expertise as required. Maintain current knowledge of tools and best-practices in forensics. |
| Job Requirements: |
This is an exciting yet demanding role. You must have the required skills and certifications to be successful. Three years experience in a consulting role performing IR and forensic tasks. Expertise in incident response, digital forensics, network topologies, security devices, IR planning, application security, and performing complex investigations. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems. Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills. Advanced project management and documentation abilities. Familiarity with IR/Forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Helix, Paraben, etc. Education Bachelors degree in a technical science preferred. Masters degree desirable. Certifications CISSP required. EnCE highly desirable. This position requires extensive travel. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. |
