General Objectives & Deliverables

In the field of security will provide lead direction and work review to assigned staff; recommend security measures; respond to threats, and coordinate security programs.

Position: CHIEF SECURITY

Athens Metro, a US$2 billion project, comprises 1.150 staff, 23 stations, 27 kilometers of single bore tunnel, and two rolling stock depots, and provides a daily 20 hour urban railway service to 700.000 passengers. It serves a resident population catchments area of over 4.5 million persons as well as millions of annual tourists.

Chief directly manages a team of 1 Security Co-coordinator, 2 security inspectors, 7 security supervisors, 6 Security Controllers, 70 Security & Control Officers and 100 contract stationary and patrolling guards.

Further, he co-ordinates as a liaison with the Greek police, the activities of 120-armed dedicated police Special Guards, appointed throughout the underground system.

Responsibilities and Position Objectives and Deliverables

Chief D. Giannissopoulos;

• Implemented the Corporate Security Management System and Security Procedures,

• Facilitated the implementation of security programs with managers and supervisors.

• Established and mobilised the Security & Control Department
