The hardware was installed, after which I performed configuration and testing. An additional server (Sun) was brought online and reconfigured. • Installed Oracle, configured and administered same. This included creating databases, tables, database design, database tuning, developing scripts, and data migration. • Designed, developed, and implemented a web based system that was used to perform software testing and track software anomalies. The system utilized DHTML (Dynamic HTML), and used CGI scripts to interface to an Oracle database. • Performed system testing to assure Y2K compliance. Set up testing environment and simulated various date transition scenarios. Tracked system, network, and application software responses. • Developed an interface to AMADNS/AMATPS format billing data collected from various switches inside the laboratory. The system [in the lab environment] consisted of a Sterling 500 data collector gathering data from various switched connected to it, commonly using Bellcore’s X.25 (BX.25) protocol, Sterling Tape Interface Module (TIM), and TCP/IP network interface.
