PacketFence is actively maintained and has been deployed in numerous large-scale institutions over the past years. It can be used to effectively secure networks - from small to very large heterogeneous networks. PacketFence has been deployed in production environments where thousands of users are involved. Among the different markets are : * banks * colleges and universities * engineering companies * manufacturing businesses * school boards (K-12) ... and many more! Released under the GPL, PacketFence offers an impressive amount of features. NetworkMiner Added 2009-05-21 NetworkMiner is a Network Forensic Analysis Tool (NFAT) for Windows that can detect the OS, hostname and open ports of network hosts through packet sniffing or by parsing a PCAP file. NetworkMiner can also extract transmitted files from network traffic. WiFinger Added 2009-05-14 WiFinger passively identifies wireless access points based on matching the Information Elements in their beacon packets against a fingerprint database. It is written in Python and uses Scapy, and has been tested in Linux. netifera Added 2009-03-22 netifera 1.0 released! netifera Added 2009-02-21 modular open source platform for network security tools. Multi-platform GUI. Tools included: TCP/UDP network information gathering, fingerprinting, service detection, DNS tools, zone transfer, passive information gathering, modular sniffing engine, credential sniffing, geographical information, web crawler. w3af Added 2008-11-03 w3af is a Web Application Attack and Audit Framework. The project goal is to create a framework to find and exploit web application vulnerabilities that is easy to use and extend. halberd Added 2006-08-17 halberd discovers HTTP load balancers. It is useful for testing load balancer configurations and for web application auditing purposes. Open Leak Prevention Test Tool Added 2006-06-15 The Open Leak Prevention Test Tool is an open source, freely distributed tool and methodology that were developed and maintained by PortAuthority Technologies Inc in order to measure the accuracy, effectiveness and detection capabilities of content filtering technologies used by Information Leak Prevention and Content Monitoring and Filtering products to prevent information leaks and ensure corporate and regulatory compliance. SinFP Added 2006-05-06 SinFP is a new approach to OS fingerprinting, which bypasses limitations that nmap has. ttmap Added 2006-04-23 ttmap passively analyzes values of TCP Timestamps in captured IP packets. After collecting enough data, it computes characteristic remote machine parameters. These values let it guess remote operating systems and identify unique machines behind a single IP address. For example, it can analyze remote IP load-balanced clusters. Browse by category |
