I would add that it is, as far as I know, the ONLY legally
unencumbered rfmon-capable driver in Windows, and it has a public
control interface. This means it's the only driver OSS developers can
support without risk.

I know the Aircrack folks worked some arrangement to use a commercial
sniffer driver, but for sw like Kismet which directly competes with
the commercial offering, don't expect to see commercial sniffer manufs
being happy about using their demo driver code.
