Cisco IOS System Timers Heap Buffer Overflow Exploitation

Cisco IOS is prone to heap-based buffer-overflow issues. Cisco has released an advisory stating that IOS upgrades are available to address the possibility of exploits of heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerabilities. It is not known at this time if the advisory addresses a specific heap overflow or just provides security enhancements to mitigate attempts to exploit heap-overflow vulnerabilities.
