Persits Software XUpload ActiveX Control Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
XUpload is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. An attacker may exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of an application using the ActiveX control (typically Internet Explorer). Failed attacks will likely cause denial-of-service conditions. XUpload 2.1.0.1 is vulnerable to this issue; other versions may also be affected. Reports indicate that XUpload 3.0 is not affected by this vulnerability. |
