Linux Kernel 'ptrace_start()' And 'do_coredump()' Deadlock Local Denial of Service Vulnerability

The Linux kernel is prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability.

Attackers can exploit this issue to cause a deadlock in the kernel, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.

Linux kernel 2.6.18 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected. Note that this issue is reported to be fixed in current kernel versions.
