Linux Kernel 'net/ax25/af_ax25.c' Local Denial of Service Vulnerability

The Linux kernel is prone to a local denial-of-service vulnerability because it fails to properly verify signedness of a user-supplied value.

Attackers can exploit this issue to cause the kernel to crash, denying service to legitimate users. Given the nature of this issue, attackers may also be able to execute arbitrary code, but this has not been confirmed.

This issue affects versions prior to Linux kernel 2.6.31.2.
