Apple Mac OS PackageKit Distribution Script Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Apple Mac OS X is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability due to a format-string issue in the PackageKit component.

An attacker can exploit this issue by conducting a man-in-the-middle attack.

Successfully exploiting this issue will allow attackers to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.

This issue affects Apple Mac OS X 10.6 versions.
