Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 IMAP NOOP Denial of Service Vulnerability
A vulnerability has been discovered in Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 when used in conjunction with IMAP. It has been reported that under certain circumstances a remote attacker may be able to cause the Information Store to stop responding. Sending IMAP requests containing excessive NO Operating (NOOP) codes to the Exchange Server can trigger this condition. |
