Fortinet FortiGate Cookie Parser Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Fortinet FortiGate is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in denial-of-service conditions.

The following versions are affected:

Fortinet FortiGate 4.3.8 and prior
Fortinet FortiGate 4.2.12 and prior
Fortinet FortiGate 4.1.10 and prior
