cURL/libcURL CVE-2016-9586 Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

cURL/libcURL is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to adequately bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in denial-of-service conditions.

cURL/libcURL 7.1 through 7.51.0 are vulnerable.
