For years I've been using Idled (http://www.darkwing.com/idled/) to log
out users who remain idle on my linux servers. Well, idled is no longer
supported, and hasn't had a release since 1996. I've recently started
upgrading servers to RedHat ES 3.0, a

Also,
iptables will accept multiple hosts in the rule. You can do this like:

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s ! 1.2.3.4/32,5.6.7.8/32 --dport 22 -j DROP

This consolodates those 3 rules below into one.
Thanks,
Paul

"iptables -L --line-numbers" will show you the line numbers of the
rules.
"iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -s ! ONLY_IP_YOU_WANT --dport 22 -j DROP" will
block every connection to port 22 except ONLY_IP_YOU_WANT.
