guides on implementing 'Single Sign On' on a linux server using Kerberos,
which is connected to a Win2K KDC.

We've had a undesired visitor, last night, that I discovered in the
reports of tripwire.

I've read the recommendations concerning access to a nfs server by changing the system and now want to ask for hints for a different situation:

What if you have homes and group shares automounted, user management in ldap and then need to give root access to a developer on one machine?

Hi !
As i read a lot of competent postings on this list, maybe one of you can
adwise me on this qustion.

How can i make sure nobody unplugs a worstation, plugs in a laptop, uses
the workstation's MAC, mounts /home from the nfs server, and does evil
things to the homedirs ?
Like, verify some hostkey

These have all been good suggestions IMHO. With the exception that FC1
is not production ready. It is as good, or better than 9.0. Stay away
from FC2 in production unless you have an RHCE or equal admin around.

Start by clearly defining the server role and responsibilities.

Out it in writing that you did not install any back doors. Have them hire an independant auditor to verify this. Sounds to me like they just do not trust you, and at that point there is not much you can say to them in order for them to believe you have not installed any backdoors.
