*/
fprintf(stderr, "%d byte packet, ready to go\n",
libnet_getpacket_size(l));
/* __libnet_dump_pblock(l); */

I'm not sure I get you -- how are you saving these packets to a file?
If you save the results of libnet_adv_cull_packet() you should be able
to write it later using the same interface (libnet_adv_write_link())...

libnet_adv_cull_packet() calls libnet_pblock_coalesce() which performs
a malloc().

Mathew Pham (good_akuma yahoo com) (1 replies)

HI,

I was wondering is there a way to obtain the stats of packet, before writing it to the wire ? for example I want the size in bytes of a packet before I write it.

The purpose of this is so I can queue packets in a context queue to a certain size. When the size of the packets in the queue

Libnet is used in netwib/netwox for :
- Ethernet/MAC spoofing
- IP/raw spoofing
None of the packet creation functions are used. Libnet was
choosen because it supports several platforms, and it's

New 1.1.2 RC 05 2004-02-16
Mike Schiffman (mike infonexus com)
Hey guys, just uploaded a new RC. The main changes in this one are the
following:

Fixed a memory leak in the advanced interface; there is now a
function
libnet_adv_free_packet() to free the memory allocated for the
packet
when libnet_adv_cull_packet() is called.
Fixed a bug
