memory question and 1.1.2 2004-01-16

I am developing a program which sends a lot of packets.

I noticed a variable called l_size (or similar) in the libnet_context
structure. this variable increases with every new packet sent. So does this
mean that the packets sent stay in memory after they are dropped to wire?
This would mean tha

Seeing as how I really want to get this unconfigured interface stuff
out (it works now and I have m4 for the linux proc fs discovery) I'm
gearing up for a 1.1.2 release pretty soon. Please submit all patches
and requests this week if possible.

Before I accept this patch, can someone with Solaris double check this
for me? Maybe a version other than 8?

STP bugs? 2004-01-13
Alfredo Andres Omella (aandres s21sec com) (1 replies)
Hi all,

It seems there is a bug of some type handling sparc architectures and byte
ordering, at least playing with STP packets:

See that the stp sample do:

Hi everyone!

I am writing a program that uses libpcap to read packets off wire then
change some parameters in the packet and write them back to the wire. As I
am a noob I need some information.

1- I want to use libnet on VC 6.0 SP5 and it says in the README.txt, in the
WIN32 folder, I should d

That's not a very convincing reason IMHO. Why not generate a "libnet-config.h"
and include that in "libn

What's the idea behind the #ifdef-ing of libnet.h for building
on Window.?

#if (!(_WIN32) || (__CYGWIN__))
#include "../include/libnet.h"
#else
#include "../include/win32/libnet.h"
#endif

Why not do "#include "../include/libnet.h" for all?
What's so special about cygwin anyway?

I have other beefs

Hey guys, sorry for the late response, been busy with the holidays and
work and www.packetfactory.net/ipgeo.

Ok, so let me knock these out right quick:

suspect you are) the code has been broken since day one and anyone
